Fred Morrow the founder of the agency lived his life for community service. Fred helped start the United Way in the Plymouth area in the early 1960’s. In those days it was called the “Community Chest”. Fred helped create the Plymouth Industrial Development Corporation (PIDCO) in 1959. PIDCO sparked an unprecedented growth in Plymouth that continued through the 1970’s. Fred served on the PIDCO board for over 25 years and a few terms as president. Fred was active in the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce and served on the board for many years. One of Fred’s passions was aviation and he helped bring a municipal airport to Plymouth in the 1960’s. Fred served on the city council for 20 years. Fred passed away in 2013 leaving Plymouth a better place.
Dave and Chris Morrow the current owners of Morrow Insurance are following in Fred’s community service. Both Dave and Chris have been very active in volunteer work throughout their adult lives. Dave has served on both the PIDCO and Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce Boards. Dave is a staunch United Way supporter. He served as county drive chairman in the late 1990’s and served 10 years as a member of the Board of Directors, including past president. Dave has been serving on the Plymouth Park Board for over 10 years and is currently the Board President. Plymouth is blessed to have one of the best public park systems in the state. Following in her father’s and father-in-law’s footsteps, Chris has also served on the PIDCO Board. In addition, she has served on the Earthworks Ministry Board, including past president; the Encore Performing Arts Board, including past president; The Heartland Artists Board, The St Michael’s School Board, and the American Red Cross Board. She also volunteered as a CPR and Basic Aid instructor, as well as a Girl Scout Leader for ten years. Chris currently serves on the St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center-Plymouth Campus-Board of Directors.
Dave and Chris are both members of Saint Michael’s Catholic Church and Chris is a very active volunteer.
